There are so many social media that you can use to create the buzz for your event but here are the most important ones you should be on:

• Facebook: Facebook is one of the most important social media to use when marketing events mostly because you have the possibility to create your event, invite all your contacts and followers and it will also give you an idea on how many attendees you can expect. The other advantage is that all the persons invited will receive notifications and reminders of your event.

• Twitter: Twitter is another social media that cannot be forgotten as this is one of the most used social media and you can tweet as much as you want without annoying your followers. Twitter is a great tool to promote your event before but also during the event, so make sure to share information and updates as well as videos during the event.

• Instagram: Instagram is another social media that I really like to use to promote an event, especially during the event as you can share pictures, videos, stories and live videos. Instagram allows everyone to have a glimpse of all the fun of the event thanks to live videos where you can present the venue, food and entertainment. Make sure to use hashtags, tag people and add the location so your posts get more attention.

2- Useful Tools

• Hootsuite: This platform allows you to schedule posts, pictures and videos on all of your social media so this is great to already schedule as many posts as you can so you can focus on other things in the meantime.

• Event Sharing websites: Many websites have an event calendar where you can add your own event. These sites are really great as they allow you to share your event on many platforms and grow your audience as well.

• Sponsors, ambassadors and venues platforms: Every platform is good to use so make sure that your sponsors, ambassadors and the venue are also promoting the event on their social media and website.

• Online Storage: One of the most useful tool for event planners is online storage like the Cloud or google drive that allow you to keep all your files and documents safe. This is very useful as you can have access to your documents everywhere and also you are sure that even if your computer dies you won’t lose anything.

Goose Island Beer Company has collaborated with Bier Markt to build Toronto’s premier Goose Island Brewhouse; a Chicago-based craft brewery in Old Town Toronto. This venue is approximately 19 years old and has been revamped into a cozy brewpub on The Esplanade.

Cocktails

The brewhouse is Goose Island Beer Company’s first endeavor into the Canadian brewery business. Premium beer is prepared at the state-of-the-art on-site brewery and is served from 12 taps. As you walk in, the well-lit space features modern wooden decor, complemented by rustic brickwork all throughout the venue. It also features very long bar, behind which sits seven fermentors.

Mains – Features

In the brewhouse, catch a full view of the brewery operations of head brewer Bernard Priest and his team, right from your seat. This casual, yet refined venue space has a capacity of 100 guests mingling and approximately 75 seated. It’s ideal for any social gathering such as a networking event, farewell party, or beer-paired dinner. The brewhouse also offers smaller dedicated sections for groups of 20-75. After your event, take home a Beer Growler (64oz) or Howler (32oz) of a brewed-in-house favourite! Do you have a bigger event? Book the brewhouse and Bier Markt Esplanade for a maximum of 700 guests mingling.

Sides

Enjoy al fresco dining at the Beer Garden. This outdoor space boasts a wall of homegrown hops climbing the surrounding four storeys of exposed brick. It’s an excellent space for a team building event or summer social. While enjoying craft brews paired with from-scratch cuisine, challenge a friend to Giant Jenga ® and Connect-4 ™.

The food menu was developed by Bier Markt Executive Chef Kevin Maniaci and Chef de Cuisine Shawn Jackson. The menu is seasonal, as the team uses fresh and local ingredients, with dishes designed to pair with the beers on tap.

The deaf-blind community is a unique community of individuals with this dual disability. CFPDP aims to help change the way Canadians think about physical disabilities. For this, the CHKC and awards were launched. CHKC is Canada’s first training facility dedicated solely to deaf-blind persons. Programs include necessary everyday skills such as home organization, grooming, personal finance, computer skills, communication skills like sign-language and braille and many more.

On Friday, April 27, the 14th annual luncheon will be held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. This year, CHKC will honour the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). The award will be accepted by Josh Basseches, Director & CEO, ROM and the guest speaker will be Josh Saunders.

This event space has every accommodation required to suit all types of events. The Scarlett Room is well suited for weddings, cocktail dinners and small-scale corporate events. The Grand Symes is 5,600 square feet of space, highly arched ceilings and three skylights, suited for concerts, large productions, fundraisers and car shows.

Mains – Features
The Symes was built in the 1930’s and consists of two grand scale rooms; The Scarlett Room and Grand Symes. The Scarlett Room has a capacity of 280 guests indoors, with a capacity of 250 on the outdoor terrace. The Grand Symes has a capacity of 350 guests. Both rooms are spacious with the perfect amount of natural lighting; while staying true to its Renaissance design.

Sides
A large plus to this venue is the proximity to a new location of The Junction Craft Brewing Co. This fantastic local brewery is right on site, sharing the historical ‘Destructor’ building beside The Symes. This location is brand new, having just opened its doors for business on January 27, 2018.

Cocktails
After the end of the recent renovation of the north building, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre announced a $23 million project to renovate the south building.

Mains
MTCC offers seven exhibition halls totaling 460,000 square feet, 70 meeting rooms totaling 110,400 square feet, two ballrooms totaling 78,000 square feet, and a 1,232-seat theatre. This modification will create 10 new meeting rooms with 13,000 square feet of additional space, registration areas will be redesigned as well as the interior. The MTCC has 600,000 square feet (56,000 m2) of space. Their larger room is 250,000 sq ft , can be divided into sections of four small rooms and can fit up to 1327 people.

Sides
There will be new escalators, new service elevator and Wi-Fi capabilities will be improved. They will also update the lighting and a revamped cafe space will be created.
