Dundas West Fest

The inaugural edition of the Dundas West Fest is coming!

In collaboration with the Dundas West BIA & the Little Portugal BIA. The Dundas West Fest aims to unite businesses, residents and the many communities that together make up the neighbourhood.

The 12 city blocks fest will feature: 3 entertainment stages, 6 busker zones, over 40 Licensed patios, Children’s activities, great food, live music and fabulous shopping.(Over 200 Unique Vendors).

Dundas West Fest will be a premiere destination for music lovers. From hot world music to hip independent sounds. Music lovers will find what they seek. Walk for Change

On Saturday, May 11^th come out to LAMP Community Health Centre’s Walk for Change 5K Walkathon, and support the 1 in 5 Canadians living with mental illness in your community. You can help reduce the stigma of mental illness, and raise funds to benefit local mental health support programs, such as LAMP’s own Among Friends. This program provides social and recreation opportunities to individuals facing mental health challenges and helps them work toward recovery while promoting health, community, and respect.

The event begins at LAMP Community Health Centre near Islington Ave & Lakeshore Blvd West, with Registration at 9am and the walk at 10am. Join members of the community as they walk 5km through the Etobicoke-Lakeshore area, stopping first at the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital buildings, and continuing passed the Mastercard Centre on Kipling, towards the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital Cemetery on Evans.  Along the way, speakers will bring the history to life while discussing the importance of community mental health services to those of us affected by mental illness.  All members of the public are welcome.
