Cocktails

The brewhouse is Goose Island Beer Company’s first endeavor into the Canadian brewery business. Premium beer is prepared at the state-of-the-art on-site brewery and is served from 12 taps. As you walk in, the well-lit space features modern wooden decor, complemented by rustic brickwork all throughout the venue. It also features very long bar, behind which sits seven fermentors.

Mains – Features

In the brewhouse, catch a full view of the brewery operations of head brewer Bernard Priest and his team, right from your seat. This casual, yet refined venue space has a capacity of 100 guests mingling and approximately 75 seated. It’s ideal for any social gathering such as a networking event, farewell party, or beer-paired dinner. The brewhouse also offers smaller dedicated sections for groups of 20-75. After your event, take home a Beer Growler (64oz) or Howler (32oz) of a brewed-in-house favourite! Do you have a bigger event? Book the brewhouse and Bier Markt Esplanade for a maximum of 700 guests mingling.

Sides

Enjoy al fresco dining at the Beer Garden. This outdoor space boasts a wall of homegrown hops climbing the surrounding four storeys of exposed brick. It’s an excellent space for a team building event or summer social. While enjoying craft brews paired with from-scratch cuisine, challenge a friend to Giant Jenga ® and Connect-4 ™.

Desserts – The Icing

The food menu was developed by Bier Markt Executive Chef Kevin Maniaci and Chef de Cuisine Shawn Jackson. The menu is seasonal, as the team uses fresh and local ingredients, with dishes designed to pair with the beers on tap.

CRAFT Beer Market, a premium casual restaurant with one of the largest selections of craft beer in Canada launched back in Calgary in 2011 by owner PJ L’Heureux and has been taking Canadian cities by storm – “one beer, one meal and one experience at a time”.

This year, Torontonians are getting a new addition to the booming beer scene as CRAFT plans to open a new Toronto location right at Yonge & Adelaide that features over 160 draught beers, premium selections of different wines and spirits and a menu specializing in North American Cuisine.

CRAFT proudly quotes, “We believe in making a positive impact in everything we do, from our workplace to our community to the planet as a whole.“

And it shows! Known for using fresh local food products from the surrounding community, Craft takes pride in their welcoming and inclusive restaurant atmosphere that draws thousands of customers each year to different locations across Vancouver, Edmonton and Ottawa — just to name a few.

With Toronto being the latest Canadian city to “catch the Craft” fever, be sure to keep an eye out for a late summer 2017 opening!

In Munich, Germany people have already said “O’zapft is” (“The beer is tapped”). In Germany Oktoberfest started on September 20th and lasts until October 5th. So it is time for women to dress in their “Dirndl” and for men to put on their leather shorts. See for yourself, the following picture shows one of the crowded beer tents this year!

But no worries if you did not make it to Germany – Toronto hosts some great Oktoberfests as well!

Mill Street Brewery – The BEER HALL Oktoberfest on October 4th

Mill Street Brewery presents their annual Oktoberfest celebration on October 4th at The Beer Hall at Mill Street Brewery. It is one of the biggest Bavarian Bashes in Toronto!
Canadian Cancer Society OktoberFEAST on October 16th

On October 16th the Canadian Cancer Society`s 2nd Annual OktoberFEAST takes place at the Artscape Wychwood Barns (601 Christie St.). The venue, a century-old former streetcar repair facility creates the perfect atmosphere for beer lovers and foodies! The place will unite beer enthusiasts, brewers, restaurants as well as Canada’s most trusted cancer charity. Tickets are $25 and for more information visit www.cancer.ca/oktoberfeast

Toronto Oktoberfest October 3rd and 4th

Last but not least there is the Toronto Oktoberfest presented by Piller’s. True to the Bavarian roots, they claim to offer an authentic “Festehalle experience”. For 2014 they have increased the capacity of their tent, which is 35,000 sq ft. People can also access an outdoor space, a real Biergarten! And there is non-stop music now, so no excuses to stop dancing! This is going to be great news for beer lovers: There will be at least 12 varieties of German and European beers. The event takes place on October 3rd and 4th. “Tapping of the Keg” starts on Friday October 3rd at 4:30 pm until 1:00 am. On Saturday October 4th is is “Stein Haus Day” from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm.
