Although the forecast called for rain all week leading up to the event, Schmooze was a fighting-force and cleared the skies just in time for 5 p.m. when the doors opened! Guests enjoyed the heat, celebrating on the rooftop patio while sipping on cocktails crafted by drink sponsor Grey Goose. The cocktails were made of Grey Goose Vodka, with a splash of St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, topped off with club soda, and served with a lime. It was a hit, and the perfect way to keep cool on the heat.

The tacos which consisted of a corn coleslaw, seasoned ground pork, and crispy onion, topped with a chipotle mayo. The simulator is a stationary Harley-Davidson motorcycle, fitted to a Jump Start stand where attendees were able to sit on the bike and feel the power as they revved its engine. Even the most inexperienced of riders were able to take part in the fun.

After a pour of one of their freshly made coffees, provided by Toronto’s Fahrenheit Coffee, the Harley-Davidson’s won’t be the only thing speeding off into the sunset.

On June 8, 2016, Muzik Event Centre opened their doors to professionals in the events, public relations and special events industry, to witness their multi-million dollar renovations. Muzik wanted to showcase their renovations to be considered for hosting weddings, corporate dinners, fundraisers, exhibitions, banquets and be more known as an event venue.

The open-concept, grand entrance to Muzik was highlighted with long, family-style tables and assorted floral arrangements. The entrance led to Muzik’s grand venue space. For this event, it was set up with a central bar under the glass dome but is also often used for a larger stage.  Behind the central bar was a small stage where exciting music was playing all evening. The inside of Muzik can hold 3000 attendees for standing events and 750 for seated events.

One of the most anticipated renovations at Muzik was the pool and patio makeover. The patio is outfitted with numerous black and white cabanas, a full-bar and three infinity pools. The outdoor patio, also known as The Beach, has room for roughly 5500 guests while the private pool and patio area can accommodate 1000 of those guests.

The Food Dudes, a local, full-service catering company, provided snacks and desserts for the event. Foods included: sizeable charcuterie boards (which were continually replenished), steak and asparagus, fish and coleslaw, fish tacos, eggplant and guacamole roll-ups and the crowd favourite – popcorn chilled with liquid nitrogen, chocolate and a candy table. Grey Goose was also represented at the event as bartenders were making feature cocktails.

Overall, the open-house at Muzik was a great success with over 1000 expected attendees. Attendees fully enjoyed the food, drinks and music that was provided by the event centre.  For any upscale event that requires a big venue, be sure to consider Muzik Event Centre and their recent renovations.
