Last and Best Schmooze of this summer!

Comments Off

On Friday, Aug 25, CityEvents hosted the last Schmooze of summer 2017. It’s true what they say, you always save the best for last! The chill mood by DJ Spence Diamonds’ tunes and Stoli’s dancing ballerinas transformed Maison Mercer’s rooftop into a special spot in the middle of the concrete jungle.

The doors opened at 5 P.M. but less than half an hour later the place was already filled with people! Guests enjoyed the heat, celebrating on the rooftop patio while trying out the new “Elit” vodka crafted by drink sponsor Stoli. The latest release from Stoli was provided by their glamorous ballerinas. It was a smooth shot that had a sophisticated taste, that matched the ambience.

To say the food was good would be an understatement. Guests swarmed the food station eagerly awaiting the BBQ served by El Furniture Warehouse. And if the burgers weren’t enough, there was also crispy mac & cheese with 3 different types of cheese sauce mixed with a spicy touch.

Last but not least Julia Grieve’s designs closed the show with her brand PreLoved and showed off some great sustainable pieces that could be added to any fashion lovers wardrobe for this up and coming fall and winter seasons.

The show also featured some of the amazing designs from the exhibitors that were already on the trade show floor from Bangledesh, China and India.  This show provided the public the option to stop by the booths and check out designs that were being featured in the show.

With a professional stage, awesome music and great lighting no wonder people were stopping by to take pictures as the models strutted everything from outerwear to formal wear and designs for every season.

CityEvents was pleased to take part in the production for this show by recruiting designers from all over. The experience of marketing and producing the show was a joy to the team. Thank you to all the schools, models, designers and supporters who came out to help and check out the show.
