AperoChic organized an amazing party for the French Bastille Day at Cabana Pool last Wednesday. AperoChic is an international meeting of young professionals basically oriented for Canadian and French-speaking people (from France or Québec), but was obviously opened to all.
Everyone came with friends or to meet new people in Toronto.
A Parisan DJ was present and featured commercial music (mix between French and English).
The party started at 6:30PM and the atmosphere was friendly. People from all backgrounds were present and the French Embassy (Consulate General of France in Toronto) also was there for the event. Our team from City Events also attended this amazing event.
The scene took place in Cabana Pool, the most famous pool club in Toronto. The ambiance was warm and the beautiful skyline was a plus for everyone that participated.
We thank the organizers Apéro Chic for the success and the professionalism of this French-oriented party and we look forward their next event

TeraGo launched their Mississauga Data Centre on May 14th 2015. To introduce their new state of the art storage centre, they invited their clients, collaborators, media and city officials for the official opening event. For this occasion, TeraGo Networks organized a guest speaker on trends in the industry and offered tours for the attendees to discover, understand and celebrate the new safe storage centre.
A great crowd attended to enjoy the catering from the food dudes and themed candy bar. The attendees had a great time discovering the new building and seeing first hand the technology and systems of where the data is stored. TeraGo discussed with guests how their business works and how their new premises will help the growth of the company and the technology industry. Employees were excited to showcase where they work and everyone left informed and happy.
TeraGo purchased the state of the art space in Mississauga from Research In Motion. The city of Mississauga and the province of Ontario presented TeraGo with a certificate for their new operation in Mississauga. The company celebrated another a data centre in Vancouver, where we were also tasked with the planning. We are very happy to have been chosen to plan and execute both of these events and it was a pleasure working with everyone at TeraGo and Surround. Congratulations on the celebrations at both locations and best of luck in the coming years!
Here is IT World’s coverage of the launch.

Canada’s largest Andy Warhol exhibit has opened in Toronto
Andy Warhol Revisited opened in Toronto on July 1 and is the largest Andy Warhol exhibit to ever come to Canada. This is exhibit provides an engaging and educational walkthrough of Andy Warhol’s development as an artist and his effect on culture which is still evident today. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity so we decided to go and check it out!
The exhibit is not located in a traditional gallery space; 77 Bloor St. West is actually an old Guess store. When Rivlin was making plans to bring the exhibit to Toronto, he knew that Yorkville was where he wanted it to be. “It’s where fashion and finance intersect — at Bay and Bloor. (Warhol) was all about high society and money, but also fashion and pop culture,” says Rivlin.
The exhibit showcases over 120 Warhol prints and paintings. You can find his more famous pieces such as the Campbell’s Soup Cans and Marilyn Monroe, but it was nice to see lesser-known pieces as well. It seems like Ron Rivlin really understands who Andy Warhol was and is ably to perfectly capture Warhol’s personality with this multi-level exhibit. Upon entering, I choose to do an audio tour of the exhibit to learn more about the history of Andy Warhol and his pieces. I highly recommend this as it also gives great insight into his life and provides more details of his art.
Revolver Gallery is a Los Angeles based gallery showcasing and selling the largest collection of original Andy Warhol pieces. Revolver Gallery was founded in 2012 by Ron Rivlin, a Toronto native who always had a passion for Andy Warhol and his art. Rivlin purchased his first Warhol piece three years ago and has since grown his collection to over 100 pieces. The gallery is mainly comprised of Rivlin’s own pieces.
If you haven’t been yet, don’t worry because Andy Warhol Revised is open until December 31. The cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for youth and students and children under the age of five are free! It’s conveniently located and so cheap so there’s no excuse to miss it.
Address: 77 Bloor St. West
Time: Tuesday- Sunday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., closed Monday.
Price: $10 adults, $8 seniors, $5 for youth and students and free for children under 5
