The once iconic downtown hostel ‘Global Village Backpackers’ located at 460 King St West, right in the heart of Toronto, has received what we like to call an extreme makeover! It has moved from young travellers, late night partiers, to a beautiful trendy coffee shop, an instagramers dream, and a regular learning institution. Equipped with a fresh open common area that is available to Quantum Coffee goers for meetings or study sessions can also be rented out for private events.

The Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled People celebrated their 32nd anniversary of hosting The Great Valentine Day Gala on Saturday, February 6th, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Over 400 guests attended and enjoyed food, wine and a live performance from David Clayton Thomas. To raise additional funds, guests could purchase a tombola gift for $60. Suhana Meharchand did an outstanding job as the Master of Ceremony.
This gala is the number one fundraising event for CFPDP. The gala has had over 22,000 people attend since it started in 1985, raised over $25 million, and has become a glittering showcase for the unheralded achievements of physically challenged Canadians everywhere.
