The Canadian Disability Hall of Fame was an amazing event! It took place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on October 18th. People started to come in at 11:30 AM to the reception, but at 12 PM is when it all started. Joanne Smith came in and introduced herself to everybody, starting lunch so that we could celebrate the winners.

After lunch, Joanne came to the stage again, but this time prepared to celebrate with the winners of the awards! She called every one of them, Todd Nicholson, Jim Sanders, Shirley Shelby, and Robert Snoek to the stage to receive their awards. All of them had something impactful to say, after receiving their awards, thanking people that helped them through the hard times and good times. Everybody left the hotel in great joy after beautiful speeches made from the winners and others. Click here for more pictures.

The perfect night out at Kasa Moto’s mix and mingle

Comments Off

On September 20th, Kasa Moto had on of their final events on the patio to celebrate the summer coming to an end. It was a great night hosted by CityEvents and Shanny In The City. with over 85 ppl in attendance.  Guests enjoyed cocktails and great music as the night went on and they mixed and mingled with each other and saw a few connections bering made.

Some of guests to attend hadn’t been to a CityEvents event in five years or more and came out to reconnect.  We couldn’t have been happier seeing them again and look forward to the next one.

The outstanding weather was only a plus for the great evening. CityEvents looks forward to hosting more mix and mingles at Kasa Moto next summer once a month!

With great people, and the amazing backdrop of Yorkville? What more could you want in a good night out?  See you next summer on the patio where CityEvents and Shanny in the City will host a monthly patio night.
