On Thursday, September 14, CityEvents cohosted with a great group of Entrepreneurs the Hollywood North Lounge TIFF 2017. Celebrating Canadian Talent with style! The Red Carpet started at 7 pm, right when the first talents started to arrive at Brassaii. The night was filled with young and veteran talents from all over Canada.
Mode Events brought us on board in the weeks before the lounge and were thrilled to assist with the PR, ticket sales, marketing/sponsorship and overall event. Was impressed both by the talent of our partners as well as our celebrity guests.
The guests were received chill tunes and an open bar with Ace Hill Beer, Gibson’s Whiskey and Noxx & Dunn on the outside patio. Inside, a “Do your own Caesar” bar where you could customize your Grey Goose Caesar with Walters Caesar Mix and a huge selection of toppings. Branded Bites sweeten up the night with their table full of delicious sweets at the sweet table decorated by Kendall & Co. in Cabbagetown.
Also at the inside reception, the guests were given a gift bag full of Hask, Lush, Outdoor Lifestyle and OSIS+ Soft Glam high end hair and Vasanti skin products. After receiving the gift pack of HASK haircare, I was impressed with the first wash. Right next to it was the Bene Beauty VIP Beauty Lounge where these products were put to action in the hands of the great Bene Beauty Hairdressers. Outside, Walter’s Shoe Care was giving the guests shoes’ a shine. Both experiences were made for a more comfortable and relaxing celebration. Also PonyDry was on site letting ppl try their new innovation to help people with long hair, I tried it and loved it
After 9 pm, the doors were open for everyone and the party continued to rock! After that, it was only dancing and enjoying the rest of the night at Brassaii. That’s what you call Canadian Talent Celebration!
Although Hollywood North has passed, we also have many upcoming events! To stay up to date, be sure to check out our website for full event listings. http://torontocityevents.ca/

Amongst this mix were student designers such as Anastasiya Lyevina who opened the show and set the mood for the day, along with Kennie Lampkin and Sepideh Ghahremani whose designs took the stage by storm.
Some of the featured Canadian designers consisted of Gift Gowns a stylish alternative to those boring hospital gowns that everyone is so used to, Katiya Lifestyle Brand whose designs were comfortable and perfect to wear during your downtime.
KM Brand who was also featured in the trends lounge that displayed how you can take one outfit and turn it into another. KM designs featured cool zip off clothing pieces that turned short sleeves into long sleeves and pants into shorts in a matter of seconds. Last but not least Julia Grieve’s designs closed the show with her brand PreLoved and showed off some great sustainable pieces that could be added to any fashion lovers wardrobe for this up and coming fall and winter seasons.
The show also featured some of the amazing designs from the exhibitors that were already on the trade show floor from Bangledesh, China and India. This show provided the public the option to stop by the booths and check out designs that were being featured in the show.
With a professional stage, awesome music and great lighting no wonder people were stopping by to take pictures as the models strutted everything from outerwear to formal wear and designs for every season.
CityEvents was pleased to take part in the production for this show by recruiting designers from all over. The experience of marketing and producing the show was a joy to the team. Thank you to all the schools, models, designers and supporters who came out to help and check out the show.
