Toronto Christmas Market
Again this holiday season Toronto will once again celebrate the romance and magic
of a traditional European Christmas at the Toronto Christmas Market. Inspired by
the Old World and influenced by the New, this event captures all of the tradition,
and charm of a European Christmas Market. The Distillery market showcases a
number of unique and locally handcrafted products. Family entertainment includes
musicians, carolers and children’s choirs.

Gingerbread Build Party
Bring your family to the Ontario Science Centre this season for the Gingerbread
build party in support of Habitat for Humanity. Admission tickets are not required
for this event and as a bonus a 20% discount to the exhibits. Free parking is
provided for the gingerbread build.

Oliver & Bonacini’s Canteen Dresses up for Halloween
Canteen will transform into Cantina serving a festive menu of Mexican-inspired bites and beverages including: tortilla soup, octopus tacos, jicama salad and churros. Olé!

A Unique New Bar In Toronto

Thoroughbred Food & Drink (TBTO) is the city’s newest bar and restaurant providing a dynamic, nostalgic dining experience. It opened on Sept. 2nd in 2014, where many people were immersed in an environment of art, music and creative cuisine and beverages.
Co-owners Ariel Coplan (chef), Jacob Fox (maître d’) and Robin Kemp (general manager) focus on the hospitality industry, sophisticated menu and environment, so they have designed a great dining experience.
TBTO is a Canadian restaurant, it boasts a modern yet cozy design, offering lunch, dinner and cocktail menus. However the chef recommends the Shaved Summer Squash ($6) that squash sliced with with watermelon chunks, pine nuts, shredded Italian cheese, and drizzled in a lemon vin dressing.
TBTO features an extensive list of premium natural, organic and sustainable wines, including 2010 Nerello Mascalese ‘Fatagione’ Cottanera (Etna, Sicily).
They has unique highly limited offerings craft beer and various cocktails too.
TBTO is located at 304 Richmond St. W. across the street from the Scotiabank Theatre. The first floor hosts the bar area, focusing on cocktails, wine and craft beer with seating for 55 guests. The second floor is more intimate for a refined dining experience, with seating for 35 guests. A second private room on this level features a Chef’s Table overlooking the open concept kitchen that can seat up to 10 guests.
The owners have also planned collaborations with a variety of local artists for in-house exhibits, and the space will feature music from an in-house DJ creating a distinct, old school vibe. TBTO shares the event information by social media, so before go to there, it might be better to check it.
