Last year was another great year at CityEvents. We were fortunate to have wonderful clients and the opportunity to support worthwhile causes and business / community events. As we say goodbye to 2013, we want to express our delight in having worked through the year with terrific people and organizations.
Thank you to all who, throughout 2013, read our blog, website and newsletter and shared our stories, to all who sent us messages and were part of our communities and, of course, to all of our clients, people who’ve believed in our services and appreciated our work. Being involved in so many exciting events and engaged communities was tremendous for all of us at CityEvents.
The launch of CitySocial was a highlight of the year for us. The CitySocial team develops social media and marketing strategies to support client communication campaigns related to busineses, events and products. We did this work for years as part of our event management package, but decided in 2013 to formalize and strengthen the service, bringing on board new employees with social media expertise. Going into 2014, we look forward to continuing to help our clients and businesses build their presence in the world of social media.
Events remain the core of what we do each and every day, and we are passionate about them. Event planning is challenging; the number of details to be considered makes each experience unique and demanding. And for those very reasons, it is stimulating, never boring, never routine. The challenge ensures that we are invested in making each event a success. In 2013, we did it all – from small, private events to big award shows, and loved each one. And, along the way, we supported several charities, believing in the importance of giving back to our community.
Some of our successful events and promotions in 2013 include:
- 40th anniversary celebration of women’s shelter Interval House
- Showcase of President’s Choice products for Loblaw Companies
- Moosehead tent at the Toronto’s Festival of Beer
- Great Valentine Gala, Rolling Rampage on the Hill, and Canadian Disability Awards for the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons
- Taste of the Kingsway
- Marketing and social media for professional-services firm Hogg, Shain & Scheck
- Vision Awards Gala for the Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
We encourage you to be part of our strong community; contact us now. And be a part of our community in all our social media.
All the best for the new year from the CityEvents team. We hope to hear from you soon; we are ready for anything this year!
Happy 2014! 2013 Look back with Prezi.
Toronto Christmas Markets

TORONTO CHRISTMAS MARKET
This holiday season in Toronto celebrated the romance and magic of a traditional Christmas at Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market. This free annual event captured all of the tradition and charm of European Christmas Market, while showcasing hundreds of unique and local handcrafted products. There were different kinds of entertainment such as musicians, carolers and children’s choirs to Santa’s workshop where kids had the chance to meet Santa.
What is Christmas Market?: Christmas market is a street market associated with the celebration of Christmas during the four weeks leading up Christmas. These markets originated in Germany, beginning in the early 1400’s, and now have been being held in many countries all over the world.
They sold many types of Christmas gifts, especially traditional items such as crib figurines, toys, wood carvings, hand-made ornaments, candles and holiday memorabilia. We enjoyed eating French Canadian Poutine, hot dogs, grilled sausages and other tasty snacks as well.
A lot of people visited this event! They were charmed with the Christmas lights, and enjoyed different kinds of entertainment. The foods all were really good. This Christmas market is over, but Christmas is almost here in Toronto! Hope you will have a wonderful Christmas season!
