ANOKHI MEDIA will celebrate its 12th anniversary on Saturday March 28th, 2015, at the prestigious Fairmont Royal York, 100 Front St. W., Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The annual event comprises of a media red carpet reception awards, fashion & entertainment show, and a high energy VIP after party experience.

The event was established in 2007 to celebrate the regional, national and international success story of the dynamic South Asian community, and has since become an annual calendar highlight amongst its consumer, clients, participating talent, celebrities, and the media.

Special to this year, ANOKHI MEDIA will be making a commemorative coffee table book entitled: THE ANOKHI LIST 2015. The book will honour ANOKHI’s incredible 12 year milestone and celebrate the regional, national and international success stories of some of today’s most prolific South Asians!

ANOKHI MEDIA was founded in June 2002 by its founder, President & CEO, Raj Girn who had the vision of creating a one stop multimedia resource to service, engage & communicate with the dynamic global South Asian community, to which she belongs.

Known for its glamorous and star-studded events, this year’s anniversary celebration will be nothing short of extravagant! CityEvents is proud to be managing the logistics again this year.  The Fairmont Royal York is one our favourite Toronto venues to work with. The execution is always smooth and the staff are professional.

8:30 p.m. Awards-Fashion-Entertainment Show featuring award presentations, designer fashion show and live musical performances

IDS:Interior Design Show comes to Toronto on Jan 22-25

The Interior Design Show will take over the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on January 22-25th, 2015. The 17th edition of Canada’s design fair celebrates leading brands, innovative speakers and rising local talents. Look for spotlights on Canadian-made products and small-batch designers, as well as Nichetto Studio’s never-before-seen exploration of urban dwellings and International Guest of Honour Wanda Jelmini’s Missoni retrospective.

The three-day event will showcase hot-topic design trends and the most innovative of international and Canadian design. An incubator of ideas, the shows hosts the most influential design minds of today, curates feature exhibitions and collaborations, and is a platform to launch never-before-seen products. IDS is not just a fair — it’s a total design experience.

On Friday Jan 23, the Azure Trade Talks present young German designer Sebastian Herkner – as well as Arkansas architect Marlon Blackwell and MissoniHome creative director Wanda Jelmini.

The 31st Great Valentine Gala

It has raised over $25 million and has become a glittering showcase for the unheralded achievements of physically challenged Canadians everywhere. The Gala is taking place at the Westin Hotel. The elegant venue is looking over Lake Ontario; The Westin Harbour Castle Toronto Hotel can accommodate an intimate group, a gala dinner of 2,000, a plenary session for 3,000, and everything in between. There will be over 500 guests attending. Each ticket is $500 to attend and also all donations help a good cause. The event will begin with a wonderful reception at 6:00pm where guests will enjoy live music by singer, Matt Dusk. Guests will be drinking excellent beverages and will get the chance to mix and mingle with one another before the night begins. Following the exciting reception, everyone will take their seats and enjoy a fabulous dinner at 7:00pm. Starting promptly at 8:30pm the awards will be handed out and the winners at the gala will be invited to take group photos and say their acceptance speeches. And finally, after all the awards are handed out the real party will begin. Show Time will begin at 9:30pm as guests will enjoy more fantastic beverages, the best live music possible and great company!

Canteen will transform into Cantina serving a festive menu of Mexican-inspired bites and beverages including: tortilla soup, octopus tacos, jicama salad and churros. Olé!

Bright Nights, Bright Dreams – Charity Soirée

On November 13th  2014, the 3rd Annual Charity Soiree “Bright Nights Bright Dreams” will take place – so save the date! The event is supposed to bring dreams to life for children with life-threatening illnesses or physical disabilities. Before this year is out, Sunshine will have fulfilled dreams for over 7,000 children! It is the second annual nationally branded event here in Toronto.

Join us for a theatrical evening in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. There will be great special features like a unique tasting experience, a candy buffet and hors d’oeuvres and refreshments! For sure not only the kids will love that. There will also be some special guests – who is kept in secret so far. Last but not least dream silent auction items are available.
