MUZIK Pool Bar : Like spending the weekend at nearest luxury resort

MUZIK Pool Bar is located at the former Horticultural Building at Exhibition Place and outside of the popular nightclub. Opened in June, the pool with full-service bars amidst garden sculptures and exotic palms – all renovated with state-of-the-art change rooms and showers. it’s an urbanite getaway, without leaving toronto.
This bar’s concept is VENUS, PARADISE, FANTASY. With these themes and the vision for this new pool paradise, the setting is elegant and beautiful, like a luxury resort hotel. You can choose from three infinity pools (paradise pool, fantasy pool & venus pool).
There is a variety of champagne, vodka, wine and special cocktails served at the pool bar.
There is also free Wifi, towel service, and a gift shop.

SummerWorks: A Festival You Don’t Want To Miss

Here at CityEvents, we love to get our fix of theatre in Toronto. Coming up this week is a true gem of Canadian culture that attracts some of the brightest talent from all over.
The SummerWorks Performance Festival opens this Thursday, August 7 and runs until Sunday, August 17. The entire festival takes places all over the city of Toronto, in many of your favourite venues including the Lower Ossington Theatre, the Theatre Centre and the Gladstone hotel.
Founded in 1991, SummerWorks is Canada’s largest juried festival featuring an array of performance art including theatre, dance and music. With a focus on promoting new Canadian work, the SummerWorks Performance Festival acts as a hub for creation, bringing together some of Canada’s emerging directors, actors, designers, arts administrators and technicians.
One show we’re excited to see is a new Canadian musical entitled “And Now, The End” playing at the Theatre Passe Muraille Mainspace. Earlier in the year, we got a chance to catch their workshop production at the Ryerson Theatre School’s New Voices Festival, and we can’t wait to see it again.

To escape out of the heat wave is closer than you think! Welcome to The Chill Ice House. Entrepreneur Gresham Bayley made it possible that Toronto has its first ice bar and lounge in the former Drake General Store space at 82 Bathurst Street (between King and Wellington). Bayley already set up ice lounges around the world with Iceculture Inc., a family owned business. The new venue has around 1,300 square feet, which means it is the largest year-round ice lounge in the world.
The complete interior and its features are made out of ice: chairs, tables, glasses, and the bar. At -5 degrees you can either enjoy a hot scotch whiskey apple cider or a cold cocktail. The whole concept is well thought through. To clean the ice glasses and plates they use liquid nitrogen and that might be a disadvantage for companies selling dishwashers. In case the drink in your glass is warmer than you, just go to their warm up cabin.
To make sure you can stand the cold, you will need to wear a warm parka or jacket. If you would like to grant your winter coat a use month before winter approaches, you are welcome to bring it. Otherwise, the Chill Ice House offers parkas to all visitors.
The lounge opened on July 17th. However, the official opening party was July 24th and it featured an ice DJ booth as well as live ice sculpting.
