Allan Small’s Wine Sips and Investment Tips was held at Quince Bistro on January 22nd. The event took place in the lower level of Quince Bistro where you can hold private events. The space was warm and inviting with lots of natural wood and warm lighting.

The evening started off with an opportunity for mingling with other guests and Allan Small. There were passed hors d’oeuvres, cheese plates, and a glass of welcome prosecco for everyone to enjoy. Once everyone was seated Allan started his very informative talk about the 5 things that could derail the 2015 markets and how to navigate around these risks.

Proceeding the talk Rosa Forgione was introduced and she led casual wine tasting. She sampled three different wines; 2 reds, and a white wine. She was very personable and went around to every table talking about the wines and asking people how they enjoyed them. The evening was concluded by a final round of hors d’oeuvres and a chance for people to ask Allan some questions and to mingle with the other attendees.Screen Shot 2015-02-11 at 1.06.30 PM

The Holidays season was enjoyed by everyone. We enjoyed a night just before Christmas where guest dance until 2am and celebrated the start of the Holiday Season.  People came out in white, ice blue or a touch of sparkle to shine that evening.

Thanks to Shanny in the City the other host and her client and friends who came out.  Also our venue host, one of Toronto’s most unique downtown venue’s, the Everleigh.

Bells on Bay St. – The Bay St. Express

Every year the Bells on Bay St. ring, this year at the Fairmont Royal York.  It is a lovely event that allows attendees share the spirit of Christmas. The event was a lovely breakfast event with live music, excellent meal and even a fruit tray to represent a train track to match the theme of the event.

bonbs-229x500This year the guest speaker was Bruce McQuaig the President and CEO of Metrolinx who spoke about how transportation can provide communities with opportunities.  The audience also heard from Stacey Campbell, Executive Director and CEO of Prison Fellowship Canada as the Philanthropic Partner who spoke about children and the absence of Christmas when a parent is incarnation.  She told a story of a young man who had lost his parents to the system who they supported his ongoing education.

Bells on Bay St. was created out of a desire Intriciti had to share the spirit of Christmas with business leaders.  The idea was birthed to Alana in the early days of her ministry as she struggled with the “market bells” dominating Bay St.  She coined the phrase “Bells on Bay St.” for each of us (including herself) to be mindful of the “church bells” in the midst of the hustle and bustle at Christmas.

This year, Intriciti expanded this signature event to Ottawa with the inaugural “Bells on Bank St.” to over a few  hundred people.

The Fresh Burger Second Location Opens on Church Street

CityEvents enjoyed working on the launch of the newest location of Fresh Burger. Fresh Burger 2014 Fresh Burger Openingopened their second location, but this time in downtown Toronto, their first location opened up last September in Richmond Hill to rave reviews.

Fresh Burger opened for business on November 28th 2014, and to celebrate their new store they gave away free burgers for the first 2 hours. The plan was to give out free burgers for 1.5 hours but the owner extended after seeing the line. The turnout was out of this world. There were over two hundred people waiting to see what all the buzz was about and try the burgers for themselves.

Toronto seems to be crazy about their burgers, and Friday was no different. People waited patiently for the free burgers out in the cold. The energy surrounding the event was great and we were happy to hear so many positive comments! Once everyone received their burgers we asked them how they tasted and people were thrilled with quality of the ingredients and enjoyed the special sauce. Many guests also tried the poutine and one food expert said it was the best poutine they have had outside of Quebec.

freshb2Overall it was a stellar event and everyone was overjoyed with their free burgers. I used to drive to Richmond Hill for these burgers so happy that I can stay in the 905 to satisfy my cravings. (DL) I would recommend that everyone try these burgers!

You can find Fresh Burger’s 2nd location at 542 Church Street.
