Nowadays, it seems like we’re losing more and more beautiful spaces that truly make our city home. Saying that, we could not be more excited that another wonderful venue has popped onto the scene, bringing with it a ton of culture.

Although the Theatre Centre has existed since 1979, the company has recently moved into their new home in the historic Carnegie Library building at 1115 Queen St. W. The official opening took place on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

The Theatre Centre is, in the truest form, a space for artists to unite and develop challenging, alternative and boundary-pushing pieces of art. Recognized as an arts incubator and hub for the performing arts, the Theatre Centre provides a space for young artists to develop work, while offering mentorship in an array of different art forms.

As a venue, the Theatre Centre is an ideal location for any artists interested in putting on a production in an intimate space. Equipped with a main space theatre, a studio, rehearsal hall, gallery, cafe, greenroom, and rooftop terrace, the Theatre Centre makes for a dynamic venue with superb amenities.
