A great event happening on Thursday May 29, 2014  with over 1000 people expected!  This charity boxing event  is being held to raise funds for Nazareth House – (www.nazarethhouse.ca).

The event includes food and booze provided by: Salt, Chiado, Elleven, Rodney’s Oyster House, Caplansky’s Food Truck, Prairie Girl Cupcakes.

Beverages provided by Fine Wines of Portugal, Iceberg Vodka and Steam Whistle Brewery.

Nazareth house is a transitional, supportive and stable home, where single mothers and their infants, women fleeing abusive relationships and homelessness or struggling with mental health issues or addictions are cared for safely until they are able to heal and turn their lives around.  There are up to 11 women and 4 children in the home at one time.  Here, women regain their confidence, self-worth and health.  Nazareth House is unique, as it allows these women the time to develop the emotional strength and life-skills to lead self-sufficient, independent and productive lives.

Hangloose Media is a full service production facility, a creative setting for Toronto’s up and coming film and photography industry but open to event planners. There are three large high-end studios, editing suites, office space and equipment available for rent. The largest studio is 4300 sq ft with 17ft ceilings. In addition each studio has hard cycloramas, which can be painted upon request. These rooms can be available for either half day or full day either for filming, photography or an event. Perfect for event space by being only a ten-minute from downtown Toronto. In addition it is conveniently reachable by TTC and both highways Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Express Way. If driving there is street parking available.

For convenient setup and teardown there is indoor loading bays with storage space. Studio spaces also include:

Toronto Wing Festival Ticket Sale Dates Announced

On Sunday, May 4, 2014 the Rotary Club of Toronto Skyline’s, Toronto Wing Festival had its 3rd successful Toronto Wing Festival.  The event had close to 2000 guest in attendance. The event took plae at Daniels Spectrum, 585 Dundas St. East in revitalized Regent Park, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Over 5000 lbs of wings were served, two live bands played and 18 restaurants competed  to answer the ultimate question of “Whose Wings are King?”.

 

The answer to this question was answered for the following categories:
