Read Africa Ball

At CODE, we believe that if you can learn to read and write, you can learn to do, and be, anything.

Our programs advance literacy throughout the developing world through professional teacher and librarian training, support for libraries and publishers, and by supplying books which are culturally, age and gender appropriate.

CODE is an award-winning organization that has been honoured by the International Reading Association, UNESCO and the Government of Canada for its work in education and literacy.

CODE currently works with education / literacy partners in Mali, Mozambique, Senegal, Ethiopia, Liberia, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Guyana and soon – Haiti.
