The King East neighborhood is known for its great design but it also is a good place to host an event as it has several beautiful venues that are sure to impress your guests. CityEvents is working on an exciting new project to revitalize and promote the King East Design District which includes a tour in the fall of 2012.

Among those venues there are some you would not traditionally consider like décor and design stores. Design stores are a great place to host an event as the generally have lots of room and great décor. Experience something new and consider one of these venues for your next event.
Andrew Richard Designs offers two chic and contemporary event spaces great for a variety of functions. Andrew Richard Designs are experienced at hosting events their resume is as long as it is impressive and includes events for Smirnoff, Gap Canada Inc., and CAMH.
Urban Amish’s Loft Raum combines great style in a sleek setting. Their authentic conversion loft is a warm and open space great for small and large events like: gallery showings, product launches, corporate and media events as well as parties and weddings.
UpCountry can be a refreshing change of scene if you plan events frequently. The style they display in their store is apparent in their venue space. Friendly and helpful the staff at UpCountry are truly knowledgeable and accommodating.
The Biltmore Domicile is a large open space with high ceilings, arching windows and exposed beams and brickwork. The space is great for large parties like weddings and corporate events. This event is in the surrounding Distillery District.

Formerly a landmark glass factory 99 Sudbury is a multifunctional space that can host intimate and large gatherings comfortably. Located near the very popular Liberty Village, 99 Sudbury is just as chic as the surrounding neighborhood.

High Time at SmartCondoLiving.com Launch Party

Residents of 30 Harding from the Dynasty building came out to the Spring Party a launch of the SmartCondoLiving.com service, a free online service that allows residents to monitor their energy consumption and gain access to information about community events, energy saving tips, condo classifieds and exclusive offers from SmartCondoLiving.com’s partners.
The Spring Party was beautifully decorated in the colours and blooms associated with the season. Over fifty residents of 30 Harding came out to the party and over half of them signed up for SmartCondoLiving.com giving them a chance to win a $100 Sears Gift Card. Members from PowerStream, a hydro provider and smart metering company, were on hand to provide guests with information on billing and how to reduce their energy use.
High energy consumption leads to high energy bills and the residents that came out to the Spring Party took the initiative to improve their energy consumption and save money by signing up for SmartCondoLiving.com.
SmartCondoLiving.com is part of Energy Conservation Information Service, which aims to help everyone become better informed about their energy use. SmartCondoLiving.com helps condo boards; condo owners and tenants decrease their energy consumption.

Search and Social Rank Symposium made a huge splash in marketing at the Boiler House on April 16th !
Due to the public’s insatiable curiosity for more insight into the weird science at the intersection of social media marketing and search engine optimization, there was a third Search and Social Rank Symposium held at The Boiler House restaurant on Monday, April 16th, in the Distillery District of Toronto. Presentations and discussions illustrated the intricacies of social media marketing, while featuring expert guest speakers Rob Campbell, Alex Blom and Brad Gosse.
Search and Social Rank Symposium created the perfect opportunity to build valuable relationships with business professionals, while guests learned the necessary skills to market your business online like a pro!
The event featured presentations by leading industry professionals, followed by a question and answer session, and networking opportunities. Attendees learned the elements of good business storytelling, social media marketing, SEO and how to run a successful business online. Guests can now use the tools they learned to develop their professional edge from the presentations at Search and Social Rank Symposium!
Rob Campbell and Brad Gosse take two totally different approaches to online advertising, and disagree on storytelling structures, and how to use Google search in web marketing. Their presentations should stand in sharp contrast. Alex Blom, who speaks first, has always been a creative thinker with clever ideas about clouds and conversion metrics.

“simply divas” returns for it’s 7th successful year!
Millions of Canadians suffer from mental illnesses, it effects people’s day-to-day living, and can effect what and how they think, act and perceive things. We as Canadians must do everything we can to make sure we are supporting this wonderful cause in a fun and positive way. FAME (Family Association for Mental Illness Everywhere) is a community-based charitable organization which for over 20 years has proudly supported families and caregivers of those experiencing mental illness.
On Sunday, April 29th, The Family Association for Mental Health Everywhere (FAME) proudly announced that simply divas returned for its annual fundraising event! It was a showcase of outstanding musical entertainment and culinary delights, and this year would feature a tribute to the legendary diva herself, Tina Turner! Simply Divas is FAME’s leading fundraiser and with the continuous generous contributions from Canadians, it would continue to be.
