The Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon is the hottest and new nightspot where anyone can come and have country western experience in downtown Toronto. Last December, the Tap House Toronto closed its doors and re-opened as the Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon. This Country / Rock destination incorporates a bar, restaurant and live music venue, located in the heart of the Entertainment District above Adelaide Hall.

The Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon welcomes you with western style interior.  It has a capacity of a group of people up to 299.  In summer, you will enjoy the large rooftop patio, which allows you experience one of the best views of Toronto’s skyline.

The Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon coincides with MRG Ventures’ continuing journey into the music scene in Canada. Blog TO has already voted one of the city’s Best Live Music Venues. Most recently, MRG Ventures opened Hideaway Records & Bar in London and the Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon will be the latest addition to the group of cutting edge music venues and bars.

The Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon will take you to country and let you experience home-style food, great music and welcoming hospitality in a comfortable and warm atmosphere.  The space is great for a themed event with a saloon feel.

Unique space in Liberty Village…something totally different

The Galleria at the Liberty Market is an architectural wonder and unique feature within the Liberty Village neighbourhood. The semi-enclosed glass atrium structure covers what was previously open space between the two building. This area houses The Shops at The Liberty Market Building, a range of retail and storefront offerings that cater to both tenants and visitors alike.

There’s something invigorating about stepping into this complex! The space is a beautiful cobblestone walkway about 100 metres long, is filled with lots of great retail shops, pubs, bars and restaurants throughout making it a great outdoor venue space and if weather isn’t on your side its covered!

Set in the heart of one of Toronto’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods, Liberty Market Building offers retail tenants the opportunity to capitalize on a steady stream of both local and visiting clientele. With the influx of new townhomes and condominiums in the area, as well as an expected 30,000 new residents, the neighbourhood’s local demographic of young urban professionals, as well as the building’s close proximity to the downtown core and existing tenant base, provide an attractive opportunity for commercial interests.

Liberty Village

With more than 100,000 sq. ft. of main level retail and showroom space, this neighbourhood commercial magnet offers a unique mixed retail and distribution proposition. With several key incentives, including the opportunity to lease space that can accommodate storage needs, Liberty Market Building offers an attractive retail venue and provides all the elements needed for commercial success. This space is quite verstatile and has been underutlized so if you are looking for a new venue that has not hosted too many events check out the Liberty Market

Exceptional Distillery District Hospitality Locations

I want to highlight for you one of this cities most talked about regions, The Distillery District. It has a lot of history for the city; filled with Victorian Industrial Architecture its past is very much present in the local businesses that currently occupy it. It is a chic location perfect for having fun among friends.

Archeo Trattoria's Bar

Many places in this city do Italian food but, Archeo Trattoria does it well.  The spacious environment lends itself well to hosting events; it can fit up to 200 people. Archeo also has a patio perfect for the summer. If you find yourself in the Distillery District don’t hesitate to try it out.

If you’ve ever had to choose between a great environment and great food you can appreciate Tappo Wine Bar and Restaurant as it has both. With their extensive menu and culinary skill it has a lot going for it. Specializing in classic Mediterranean and Italian food and extensive wine list; Tappo knows how to create an enjoyable meal. Its patio features two stainless steel fire pits.

The Pure Spirits Oyster House and Grill has a comfortable, dare I say cozy environment. The menu is where the real fun begins which includes oyster, but also fish, pork, duck and steak frites.

For those of you that are more adventurous there is the Stirling Room.  It is a progressive and sophisticated lounge and bar for the young urban professional.  With weekly events this lounge is a great place to meet new people or connect with friends.  The décor is impressive with quartz counter tops and a baby grand piano that has been converted into a DJ booth.

The Distillery District is extensive so I have only highlighted a few locations that I think stand out, but I want to know what in the Distillery District you enjoyed so please leave a comment in the section below.  These are just some of the restaurants and lounges in the Distillery there is also a number of event venues to be found at: www.fermentingcellar.ca

A BEAUTIFUL SUMMER NIGHT IN LIBERTY VILLAGE

With a tagline promising “5 Thursdays, 5 Locations, 1 Community,” Liberty Social Hour: Le Bel Été kicked off on July 7, 2011. Held at Barista Espresso Bar on East Liberty St., a cozy café with a distinctly European feel, guests were treated to free appetizers, $5 beers and an evening spent rubbing shoulders with fellow Liberty Villagers.

Hoping to do its part in fostering community relations, the inaugural event did not disappoint. The neighbourly welcome began at the door and carried its way inside, where, akin to a party held at a friend’s house, introductions and co-mingling were plentiful. Even one-time mayoral candidate, Sarah Thomson, CEO of Women’s Post and current Liberal candidate for October’s election, stopped by to say hi!

After an evening spent making new friends, a gift bag featuring information and deals from various businesses located in Liberty Village was given out, placing a metaphorical cherry on the top of the night. With one Thursday down and four more to go, the next Liberty Social Hour is taking place on July 14 at Merci Mon Ami, on their 3rd year anniversary and a portion of sales will be donated to ovarian cancer. Attending Liberty Social Hour definitely reminded me why living in Liberty Village truly means a beautiful summer is ahead.
