True Patriot Love

Canadians need to stand up for the families of those who put their lives on the line every day in the name of freedom.

Like many other great Canadians, Harper, Ignatieff, Layton and May have lent their names to the True Patriot Love Foundation because they understand the sacrifices families make to allow our soldiers to serve. Join us with Gen (Ret’d) Rick Hillier and other supporters as we officially launch the True Patriot Love Foundation.

The Foundation was established by Shaun Francis, Chairman & CEO, Medcan Health Management Inc. We will be announcing the details of a Tribute Dinner in support of the Canadian Military Families Fund, established by Gen Hillier to address the urgent and unforeseen needs of military families. This initiative has brought together political, corporate and community leaders who want to recognize the contributions of Canadian military families. The committee (see the attached list) plans to raise 1.75 + million dollars in our first year.

When: Thurs. June 18, 2009
Time: 11:30 AM
Where: TD Bank Tower, 66 Wellington St W. 54th Fl.

Making an Event Memorable

Contact CityEvents for all of your Event Planning Needs.

When planning a memorable event, I often  go back to basics. Events have the same considerations whether it is for 10 people or 10,000 people, whether the purpose is celebrating a 5-year-old’s birthday or a 100-year anniversary of a multinational company. After the basics of who, what, where, and when, it’s the theme and extras that make events memorable for years to come.

Location, Location, Location. Ensure that the venue fits your target and budget. Whether the event is indoors or outdoors ensure the venue fits your needs. Consider using new or unique environments that set the mood and that will attract and entertain your audience. Offering your guests a unique location or new experience can be the first step in creating a memory.

Create a memorable theme or mood to the event. This helps tie in the invitation, food, décor, giveaways, costumes and other elements. For the biggest impression, integrate the theme before, during, and after the event.

Establish the right atmosphere by selecting the right entertainment, activities and décor that are unique and spark fun and excitement and add to the ambiance of the venue. Don’t skimp on necessary party rentals or your event might be unfavourably memorable.  Entertainment can be key at attracting your audience to an event and keeping them there.
