Located in the heart of Liberty Village, its very own modern one-of-a-kind Japanese restaurant called Liberty Noodle. The restaurant serves healthy and nutritious Japanese inspired meals which include ramen and sushi with influences from far-off places like India, China and Thailand. The restaurant incorporates a clean and modern aesthetic, allowing the food to be the focus of their guest experience.

And speaking of guest experience, the owners of Liberty Noodle took part in a local networking event (Liberty Social Hour) and did an incredible job catering to their guests.

“Liberty Social hour is what it promises to be. The event was a huge success, a restaurant owner’s nightly wish. A good vibe, a great crowd- eclectic as the neighbourhood. Furthermore, the organizing team, lead during our event, by Jay Reyes, made it a walk in the park for me and my staff” said Sang Kim, Head Chef of Liberty Noodle.

A great place to enjoy great food with friends and co-workers, Liberty Noodle delivers a voyage of culinary travel through some of the most exciting foods of Asia.

“It was very nice of you to bring people together for Liberty Social Hour. This was a great opportunity to meet with my fellow community members and talk about the area. Liberty Social Hour exposed residents to the many great venues in their own backyard.” Mike Yen

“I must admit that I was really impressed with the networking sessions. I got business!!!!. My main objective in a networking is to find new leads. This Networking allowed me to gain new ideas and new approaches that I didn’t think of before.
It was amazing experience. I will definitely attend next year.” Alicia Galarza

“I attended the last 3 events and each time, I met new people from the neighbourhood. Great idea, great concept to bring people together!” Laure ampilhac

Best burgers in Toronto located in the core of Liberty Village

Screen shot 2011-08-29 at 12.11.18 PMThe perfect place for a mix and mingle on a sunny summer evening, hidden away from the bustling traffic is right in the heart of Liberty Village. Mildred’s Temple Kitchen (MTK) was the host for our fourth Liberty Social Hour and what an amazing evening it turned out to be. The atmosphere was perfect, very relaxed and casual with just the hint of sophistication. Walking into MTK you are greeted with a smile and escorted to the social hour! The room was filled with people from around the neighbourhood: industry professionals, local businesses and residents. With so many people to talk to, the social hour extended its hours to accommodate the growing buzz in the room.

The food at MTK was AMAZING! We all agreed that the burgers are rightfully voted the best in Toronto. Eating just one left me wanting more! They were also showcasing their signature Mojitos and their Riesling wine, both of which would quench any ones thirst!  Smooth and refreshing and the perfect pairing for your burger!

It was yet again a great Social Hour in the heart of Liberty Village!

Locus 144

Locus 144

Located minutes away from the chaotic streets of downtown core, Liberty Village is an emerging community for socializing and networking just west of Toronto for businesses and residents. CityEvents and InLibertyVillage.com host events which enable locals to meet and mingle with each other. Continuing this successful trend- Locus 144, located in The Liberty Market during “Live It Up in Liberty”, held a successful community networking event on Thursday, July 28th showcasing their unique dinner menu and spirits lists.

The ambience of Locus 144 is very soothing, especially after a long day at work one would want tounwind and submerge themselves into the warm and cozy colour pallets of thedecor with lit candles welcoming you at the dinner table or lounge seating.

Lights were dimmed to perfection and the music just loud enough so people could still talk and not yell in each other’s ears. Locus also invited a local classic/pop singer to add some flavour to the already vibrant event and Lucia (www.luciaonline.com) sang for a set before the D.J took over playing into the late hours of a beautiful summer evening.

A BEAUTIFUL SUMMER NIGHT IN LIBERTY VILLAGE

With a tagline promising “5 Thursdays, 5 Locations, 1 Community,” Liberty Social Hour: Le Bel Été kicked off on July 7, 2011. Held at Barista Espresso Bar on East Liberty St., a cozy café with a distinctly European feel, guests were treated to free appetizers, $5 beers and an evening spent rubbing shoulders with fellow Liberty Villagers.

Hoping to do its part in fostering community relations, the inaugural event did not disappoint. The neighbourly welcome began at the door and carried its way inside, where, akin to a party held at a friend’s house, introductions and co-mingling were plentiful. Even one-time mayoral candidate, Sarah Thomson, CEO of Women’s Post and current Liberal candidate for October’s election, stopped by to say hi!

After an evening spent making new friends, a gift bag featuring information and deals from various businesses located in Liberty Village was given out, placing a metaphorical cherry on the top of the night. With one Thursday down and four more to go, the next Liberty Social Hour is taking place on July 14 at Merci Mon Ami, on their 3rd year anniversary and a portion of sales will be donated to ovarian cancer. Attending Liberty Social Hour definitely reminded me why living in Liberty Village truly means a beautiful summer is ahead.
